Kitui South MP Rachael Nyamai was on Saturday (26th Feb 2022) appointed as the National Deputy Director of elections in the newly branded Jubilee Party.

Kaki’s appointment was made public during the Jubilee party National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at the KICC together with other new party officials and was unanimously approved by delegates.

Speaking after the appointment, Kaki thanked President Uhuru for giving her the chance to serve in the crucial position in the party and also for calling all the leaders including Kalonzo Musyoka to unite with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“I want to thank his Excellency President Uhuru for uniting other leaders of different political parties like Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Charity Ngilu, Gideon Moi, and for giving me this great seat to serve the Jubilee Party,” she said.

She took the opportunity to thank the residents of Kitui South, the Kamba community, and the entire Jubilee Party leadership for having faith in her seeing it wise to appoint her to seat at the National Committee.

The Kitui South Parliamentarian also called on all the Kenyans to unite since as the elections period nears it is important to come together, especially the Kamba community.

Kaki also requested Kamba leaders to shun insulting each other and instead focus on moving the Kamba community in the right direction. Kaki’s appointment comes days after she declared that she will be defending her seat on the Jubilee Party ticket and dismissed the rumors that she was heading to the Wiper Party.
