Kitui South MP Rachael Kaki Nyamai has confirmed that she will defend her seat on the Jubilee Party ticket as opposed to speculations that she would defect to Wiper Party.

In September last year, Rachael hinted at joining Wiper while speaking at a function in Makueni. She revealed that President Uhuru had instructed her to work with Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kaki has also distanced herself from attacks made by Governors Ngilu, Kivutha, and Mutua towards Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka. She lauded Uhuru Kenyatta’s remarkable development in the country and promised to support Azimio la Umoja movement.

Addressing a section of residents from Kitui South who endorsed her re-election at her Mutomo home, Kaki said that the Jubilee government has brought development to Kitui South, “I thank you because you have permitted me to use Jubilee party which has delivered and you have told me to get to the team that will get to the government after August elections.”

“You have told me not to fight Kalonzo Musyoka. Our three governors who have been fighting him, I wish to distance myself from their fight because of my people of Kitui South. You have sent me to go and continue working with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee Party and you my people have permitted me to join Azimio la Umoja that will win the presidential elections,” she went on.

Rachael Nyamai is one of the Kitui parliamentarians who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket alongside Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai.
