Ngilu explains why she skipped Azimio demos

Former Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu has resurfaced after missing in action since the August 2022 General Election.

Ngilu attended the burial of Pius Musembi in Sultan Hamud, Makueni County.

The ex-Governor who was a strong Raila supporter said that she had heard leaders asking where she had disappeared to and why was she not participating in the demos.

She noted that it was time for the young leaders in politics to go for demos and bring change to the Country.

“I know the work you are doing Mheshimiwa Kalonzo, I know one of the leaders said she can’t see Kaluki where she is and it is true you can’t see me but am not far away. Those who are saying that wamekunywa teargas juzi Mimi nilianza kunywa teargas 1992, let these young ones taste it kidogo,” said Ngilu.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was also at the burial told Ngilu that he would like to see her the next time there will be demos.

“Next time we are demonstrating I want to see you there with me demonstrating, acha hiyo mchezo,” said Kalonzo in a rejoinder.

Ngilu resurfaces after disappearing from the public for months

Former Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu has appeared for the second time in public after missing in action for months.

Ngilu accompanied other Ukambani leaders to the burial of Businessman Pius Musembi at Sultan Hamud in Makueni County.

In her speech, Ngilu urged President William Ruto to ensure he fulfills his campaign promises to the people of Kenya.

She said that Ruto should follow in the footsteps of former President Mwai Kibaki and improve the lives of Kenyans.

In the last election, the Governor supported Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

Since Ruto won Ngilu kept her calm and vanished from the public eye.

Kenyans had been wondering where the former governor and vocal politician disappeared after her candidate lost.

Other leaders who attended the burial include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, Makueni senator Daniel Maanzo, and Makueni Woman Representative Rose Museo among others.

The leaders eulogized Musembi as a leader who fought for the rights of the people till his death.

Comedian Kayeye flaunts new Subaru Forester

Isaac Kisoi popularly known as Kayeye has acquired a brand new ride. The comedian bought a Subaru Forester.

In an interview on Youtube, Kayeye disclosed that he bought the car purposely for his work.

He revealed was going through a hard time with his other vehicle because of the bad roads. He noted that mostly his comedy and emceeing jobs are in Ukambani Counties and sometimes in the interior where the roads are deplorable.

“Sometimes many moves we make as artists are not meant for showoff. As for me the nature of my work, I operate in Ukambani, and 99.9% of my work is in Ukambani and sometimes the terrain is not good. This means that I need a car that is high to avoid damage. Every weekend I have functions to attend so I needed a vehicle that is high to avoid damage,” Kayeye said.

The ‘Madam Platinumz’ character disclosed that he was able to acquire the vehicle through what he makes in comedy and emceeing gigs.

“Don’t wait to get one million shillings, we are in economic turmoil, just the money you get and save until you achieve your target and do what you’ve dreamt of,” he advised.

Kayeye will be launching his company Utisi Media on 8th April. He said he has had the dream for long and it is time to get actualized.

“I began long ago but I have evolved and gotten wings to fly. On the 8th we will be launching Utisi media which will focus on arts and the focus will be on the grass root talents. It will be more on Ukambani counties because that is where I have grown, “Kayeye went on.

The company will be working together with County Governments and other organizations to nurture talents such as comedy, music, acrobatics,s and many more.

He said that the company will also provide a platform for companies to market their products.

“We have a list of social media influencers who will do the online marketing because we have noted that people have not embraced social advertising,” he hinted.

Shock as 77-Year old mentally ill granny raped in Mwala

A 45-year-old man from Ikuuni village in Mwala sub-county of Machakos County has been arrested for raping a 77-year-old mentally ill woman.

According to the granny’s son the man known as Joseph Muema sneaked into his grandmother’s house to do the heinous act.

The granny’s son caught him in the act at around 11 pm when he had gone to check on his mother.

After the son caught the suspect, he ran away and left his trouser and shoes which made it easier for residents to track him and bring him to the police station.

The two are now at Mbiuni Level 4 Hospital where medical tests are being done for medical reports.

The culprit is also set to remain under police custody waiting to be arraigned in court tomorrow.

Concerns raised as over 20 motorbikes stolen in Kitui

DCI sleuths and companies loaning motorbikes in Kitui County have been urged to work closely with Boda Boda operators in the fight against motorbike theft.

Speaking after a meeting with Boda Boda operators, Kitui Boda Boda chairman Kevin Kivala said that insecurity is a major concern among the operators.

He noted that over 20 motorbikes have been stolen in one month stating that Kitui town is among the affected areas.

“We would like to urge the security agents to respond swiftly and save us from gangs targeting our bikes,” Kivala said.

“Areas in Kitui town that are affected include, Resort, Ginnery, Site, Majengo among others,” he added.

Kivala disclosed that 90 percent of the motorbikes getting stolen have been acquired through loans and mostly get stolen a few months before payment ends.

“Our enemy is among us reason why we should be vigilant, it is not normal to have over 20 bikes stolen through the same means, we suspect foul play,” he noted.

The chairman spoke after meeting the Boda boda secretariat in a bid to discuss the affairs of the sector.

He urged the operators to have unity and ensure no rogue colleagues who may comics with thugs are among them.

Former Machakos Speaker Florence Mwangangi’s vehicle carjacked

A Vehicle belonging to former Machakos Speaker Florence Mwangangi’s husband Patrick Mwangangi was hijacked Tuesday.

The Vehicle Isuzu pick-up registration number KDH 037A was hijacked at around 7 pm on Tuesday evening along Kinanie-Joska -Devki road near Leather City which is under construction.

According to a source privy the driver of the vehicle identified as Ndolo Kithue was dumped in the Lema area in Mwala sub-county with injuries.

At the time of the incident, the driver was returning from delivering nappier grass.

The hijackers were armed and made away with the vehicle, cash, driving license, and phone.

“It was a gang of six people in a car that crossed the missing vehicle forcing the driver to stop, he was later dumped in Mwala sub-county alive but with injuries, We are requesting members of the public to help with the search of the vehicle,” The source told Mauvoo News.

The incident was reported at Lema Police Station under OB Number 07/04/04/2023.

Man tells court he killed cheating wife for squeezing his manhood

A middle-aged man from Chaani, Chamgamwe Mombasa County has pleaded guilty to killing his wife.

The accused Evans Kuti was charged with manslaughter at Mombasa law courts before Senior Resident Magistrate Rita Orora.

Kuti allegedly stabbed his wife Anna Kambui on 26th February 2023 at their home.

He told the court that he arrived home at around 10:30 pm and to his shock his beloved wife was in bed with another man.

After confronting her she admitted that the man in bed with her was her lover.

An altercation ensued and the woman grabbed her husband’s manhood.

The excruciating pain caused Kuti to pick up a kitchen knife and stab his wife twice in the tummy.

According to investigations the suspect fled after committing the act and presented himself to Mtito Andei police station where he explained what he had done.

A post-modern conducted early last month revealed the victim died of hemorrhage shock.

According to the DCI, the evidence found at the scene could not support a murder charge. The case will be mentioned on April 5th.
