Tell us where you get money to do projects in Kibwezi – James Mbaluka to Mutuse

Kibwezi West parliamentary aspirant who recently decamped from Wiper to UDA James Mbaluka has asked Machakos chief of staff Mwengi Mutuse to account for where he gets money to do projects in the constituency.

According to Mbaluka who spoke at a campaign rally for the UDA candidate in Nguu/Masumba Daniel Musau, the salary of a chief of staff is known and he cannot afford to do such projects from his own pocket.

“Hospitals in Machakos don’t have drugs and we hear how people in Machakos are crying. We know the salary of a chief of staff and we also have one in Makueni. If Money has been lost in Machakos, then that of Kibwezi west won’t fit in the pocket of a shirt.” Mbaluka said.

Mutuse and Governor Kibwana are campaigning for independent candidate in the By-election Timothy Maneno who is facing off with Daniel Musau of UDA and Eshio Mwaiwa of Wiper.

Mbaluka took a swipe at the Wiper party for having no ideology and policies saying people are tired and had moved on.

“Where we were (Wiper) they had no policy, it was just ‘vomwe, vetwe, kusuvia mbai and kusuvia mundu. We are tired and we must save ourselves from that slavery.” Mbaluka went on.

Kalonzo reaches out to Mueke in a bid to broker truce

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to reach out to Ex- Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke in a bid to broker a truce.

The two shared the same podium during the burial of the late John Wambua in Mwingi. In a statement that seemed to lure Mueke to drop his Kitui gubernatorial bid, Kalonzo expressed concerns that he didn’t know earlier that Mueke was eyeing the seat.

“Mheshimiwa Former Deputy Governor kijana yangu Mueke I wish you told me earlier that you want to come home and run, I would have advised you,” Kalonzo said.

Mueke seemed surprised by Kalonzo’s remarks and didn’t expect that since several leaders have shown interest in the Kitui gubernatorial seat using the Wiper ticket.

Kalonzo also praised Mueke saying that “Mueke is one of my able young men but I will talk to you after this we need to have a session because this community is more important than an individual.”

Last month, Mueke came out to explain why he left Wiper Party and decamped to United Democratic Alliance (UDA). In a statement posted on his social media handles, Mueke stated that “For those who keep asking why I left the Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya for UDA PARTY… This clip by William Ruto is your answer.”

In the video, DP Ruto stated that they are building a national movement (Hustler Nation) and a national party (UDA) and that tribal parties can’t sort out the challenges the country is facing.

It was clear that Mueke was reckoning the words of DP Ruto hinting that Wiper party is a tribal party.

Mwingi Pastors to organize prayer rally to change Senator Kiio’s name

A section of Pastor’s from Mwingi led by Reverend Kimbu has openly called on the faithful to help them in praying for Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua.

“I want to call upon the few people who like talking the truth in our county, the truth is that improved health is a good thing but some people are always criticizing the good work done by Governor Ngilu. One person I want you people to help me in praying for is our Senator and change that name of Kiio.” Kimbu while speaking at the launch of Universal HealthCare in Kitui said.

The Mwingi pastor also questioned how the parents of the Senator ended up calling him such a name.

“There are many good names that one can call his child, I want you to go and investigate why he was called Kiio. When Governor started KICOTEC, the senator started crying as his name suggests, when she bought lorries to help the people of Kitui, Kiio started crying again. You can call your child a name and it turns out to be the character of the child,” Rev Kimbu went on.

The pastor also urged Kitui residents to organize for a mega crusade to come and pray for Senator Kiio, “I want to call him and if his parents are alive together with my bishops we are willing to change the name of the Senator to a good name.”

Governor Ngilu also hinted that she is ready to give Senator Kiio another good name to stop lamenting every time even when ‘good things’ are done for the people of Kitui.
