Matungulu MP seeks answers from National Security Committee on the death of Muli Nduva

Matungulu MP Stephen Mutinda Mule has sought answers from the National Assembly Department Committee on Administration and National Security on the death of Abubakar Muli Nduva alias Toto who died after arrest by Tala police Station

Speaking during parliament proceedings Thursday, Mule asked the committee to explain the delay in the dissemination of information to the deceased family as well as identify the police officers involved in the death of Muli Nduva.

“Could the chairperson explain what led to the disappearance and death of the young man, could the chairperson explain the delay of officers from the Tala police station to relay the correct information to the parents of the deceased,” Mule said.

“Could the chairperson explain what measures the Government has taken to inquire into the matter and the plan it has put into place to ensure such incidents are handled with urgency?..Could the Chairperson explain measures taken by the Government to ensure police officers who were involved in the arrest are brought to book and held accountable for the death of Muli Nduva.” Mule went on.

Mule further asked the committee to enquire if the family of the deceased was going to get any compensation from the government for the death of their loved one.

According to the police, Abubukar Muli Nduva was arrested at Tala and later on, he was taken to Kangundo Level 4 hospital for treatment after he imbibed acid only later for the postmortem report to indicate that he had injuries on his head and private parts and it is not acid that caused his death.
