Political Fireworks: PS Mbaika, MP Kimilu Trade Blame after Chaotic Nunguni Meeting

PS Teresia Mbaika and Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu have traded blame after a chaotic meeting on Monday at Nunguni.

PS Mbaika, speaking after the function, accused the MP of invading her meeting, accompanied by his Chaotic supporters.

“Instead of disrupting my meeting, go and visit the people of Iuani who are now repairing roads by themselves despite the road being allocated 9.6 million in the 2023/2024 FY. This is so unprofessional, but we will do politics when the time comes. For now I’m focused on delivering as PS,” Terry said.

“The High Court approved SHA, so stop misleading Kenyans, MP Kimilu. When you get a flu, you want to rush to Dubai, yet the people who voted for you are not covered. Let’s register for SHA.” She added.

PS Teresia Mbaika was accompanied by her colleagues Alex Kamau of Energy and Eng. Festus Ng’eno, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Environment and Climate Change. They also launched last-mile connectivity in Kilome and Kaiti and distributed food to needy families.

Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu said he had been invited by the energy PS since Electricity is under MPs and did not gatecrash the meeting.

“I was called by Energy PS, who told me he was coming to Kaiti and he wanted me to be part of the meeting, and I agreed. If she (Terry) refuses to give me a chance to speak and I’m elected, if she becomes MP, she might beat citizens. I will ensure everyone gets electricity.” Kimilu said.

Kimilu also accused Teresia of stopping construction of KMTC Kilungu, promising to ensure it’s completed by the end of the year.

“As we speak, she wants to stop electricity projects, which is bad. Why should you deny your people? One day, you will be outside the government. If it’s politics, let’s meet in 2027, even if we are in opposition, we pay taxes and we have a right to get development.” He added.
