Sammy Kioko is a renowned Kenyan comedian celebrated for his hilarious skits alongside fellow comedian Tom Daktari, popularly known as the Luku Master. The duo has captured the hearts of many Kenyans with their relatable, school-themed comedy and vibrant on-screen chemistry.
Born in 1996 in Mombasa, Sammy grew up in a family of four siblings before later moving to Machakos County. From a young age, he had a natural gift for making people laugh, though his childhood dream was to become a teacher rather than a comedian.
While attending Masii Boys High School, Sammy’s interests leaned more toward sports—particularly rugby and football. However, his journey into comedy took shape when a new “comedy category” was introduced at the Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festivals. He participated actively and even reached the national level, where he emerged second. That experience would become the turning point that cemented his path in comedy.
After completing high school, Sammy joined KCSA University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Swahili. His passion for teaching inspired him to launch a YouTube channel, where he teamed up with Tom Daktari to create skits revolving around teachers and students. Their humorous take on everyday school life quickly resonated with audiences, propelling them into the limelight.
Before joining the Churchill show, Sammy Kioko had auditioned in 2015 but was not successful later he went to audition for the Ultimate Comic Show at Kenya National Theatre.

Sammy managed to win the show as the Ultimate Icon in stand-up comedy and was awarded 1 million and a car.
Following his victory, Sammy joined the Churchill Show, where he continued to entertain audiences with his unique performances. It was there that he reunited with Tom Daktari, and together they began producing comedy skits that gained massive popularity both on television and online.
Today, Sammy Kioko boasts a YouTube channel with over 470,000 subscribers and an estimated net worth of over KSh 25 million.
Sammy Kioko is also a designer who designs clothes with his name as the brand. He opened a Fashion Shop at Next Gen Mall which he has since shut because of alleged delayed payments from Machakos County.
In addition to comedy and fashion, Sammy is a sought-after Master of Ceremony (MC) who hosts corporate events, weddings, and other high-profile functions.
Together with Tom Daktari, Sammy co-founded the Wamusyi Show, a live comedy event series that has successfully toured major cities including Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kitengela. Their growing success stands as a testament to Sammy Kioko’s determination, talent, and enduring love for making people laugh.
