Several Leaders drawn from the Ukambani region have recently expressed their fears about Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Their concern is about what Kalonzo will gain in continuing to associate with Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.
Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi wondered if the Azimio rallies and demos birth a handshake the Kamba community would benefit in any way.
“What if we fight together and a handshake is birthed but Raila goes alone like he did last time and our son is left stranded,” he said while attending Komarock prayers on Saturday.
The same concern has been bugging Mavoko MP Patrick Makau.
The lawmaker has always been ready to fight on behalf of Kalonzo but this time he has expressed his worries and questions.
On Wednesday during a function in his constituency, he asked Raila to explain how the Kamba community will benefit from the demos and rallies.
“Tell us why we should participate in the demos as a Kamba community,” Makau asked.
He noted that the Wiper party should be working on a strategy that will catapult Kalonzo to the presidency in 2027. Missed the story? check it out below;
Mlolongo Member of County Assembly Daniel Ndwiki said that the way Kalonzo was treated during the last general elections was unfair.
The fact that he shelved his bid for Raila was enough to be taken as Deputy president but he was taken through interviews and later denied the position. He warned that Kalonzo’s ride to statehouse will be bumpy if he continues to associate with Raila blindly.
“Kalonzo is a great leader respected in the country and beyond but we are worried about his blind association with Raila. Kalonzo has proven to be best by supporting Raila three times, this action should be paid back. Raila should declare that he will back Kalonzo in 2027,” said the MCA.
