Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama says the Azimio leadership is yet to accept losing in the August 2022 elections.
In a Facebook post, Muthama noted that the government is very young but the opposition has spent every second frustrating it.
According to him the high cost of living was caused by the previous regime together with Raila Odinga.
“What we are currently facing is a result of the Azimio leadership failing to obey the Supreme Court ruling which upheld President William Ruto’s victory which they said they will respect, “Muthama in the post said.
“It is eight months since President Ruto took the realms of power hence not enough time for meaningful development growth, therefore, it is only fair for Raila Odinga-led group to give the Head of State time to deliver to Kenyans instead of arm-twisting and intimidating to him to arrest the high cost of living which is as a result of their mess,” he added.
Muthama observed that even if the prices of commodities go down Raila would not stop the demos adding that his sole purpose is to be allowed in the government.
The commissioner added that Raila’s actions are bad examples that leaders who in the future may try to force themselves into the government after losing elections.
“Raila Odinga’s political path is always characterized by changing goal posts of which even if prices of commodities come down today, he will start delegitimizing the Kenya Kwanza administration, “The PSC commissioner reiterated.
