Former Machakos Senator and UDA Chair Johnson Muthama wants ODM leader Raila Odinga investigated for what he termed as incitement and ethnic profiling.

Muthama called upon the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to look into Raila’s speech at Wajir on Wednesday.

He noted that radicalization should be condemned with the strongest terms possible. This is in a bid to ensure that the country is not plunged into post election violence like in 2007.

“The National Cohesion and Integration Commission should investigate Raila Odinga’s incitement remarks he made in Wajir yesterday. Ethnic profiling and radicalization of our communities to cause chaos should be condemned in the strongest terms possible,” Muthama through his Facebook page said.

“Kenya is still recovering from the 2007 post election violence and we cannot afford to repeat the same mistakes,” he added.

He posted the video of Raila’s speech in Wajir where he could be heard saying that there should be no ‘madoadoa’ in Wajir while rooting for six-piece voting for Azimio candidates.

Ndio uwe mwanajeshi wa baba lazima uwe na bunduki na risasi. Mko tayari? hatutaki madoadoa hapa Wajir,” said Raila in the speech that has since gone viral.

In January, Meru senator Mithika Linturi was arrested for using madoadoa remarks during the UDA really in Uasin Gishu. The prosecution failed to prefer charges against him causing the application to be dismissed.
