Mnatuaibisha! Waita tears into Wavinya’s administration in fiery address

Former Machakos Gubernatorial Candidate Nzioka Waita has criticized Machakos county leadership accusing it of dragging the county behind.

According to Waita, the government has failed to discharge its duties as expected while pointing out damning reports from oversight bodies as evidence of the County’s alleged mismanagement.

“If you look at the EACC report, Machakos County is topping. If you look at the Auditor General’s report, Machakos County is topping all for the wrong reasons. It is a shame indeed,” Waita said.

He lamented the deteriorating state of healthcare and the struggling economy, attributing the issues to corruption and poor governance.

Waita also took issue with the county’s extravagant spending, particularly on foreign trips, while residents grapple with inadequate service delivery.

He affirmed that he will be on the ballot in the upcoming elections and promised a bruising defeat to his competitors.

Responding to critics who previously questioned his command of the Kamba language, Waita insisted that leadership is about competence, not linguistic fluency.

“I will speak to you all, young and old, and make my vision for Machakos clear. Leadership is about sharp thinking, not just language. What failed me last time was that I didn’t know how to rig an election and I won’t. You, the people, will propel me to victory,” he declared.

He also urged the people not to accept being coerced to vote for one party but rather focus on the leader and not the party.
