The body of a 27-year-old has been retrieved from Kwa-Nzuna dam in Ngomeni village, Matungulu sub-county, Machakos County.
According to a police report seen by Mauvoo News, the body was seen floating in the dam and divers went in and no injuries were visible.
“There was a human body floating at Kwanzuna Dam in Ngomeni village. The scene was visited by officers from Tala police station and the body of one Dominic Musila Muia aged 27-years was retrieved from the dam and positively identified by his uncle,” read the report in part.
The man had drowned the previous day and efforts to retrieve his body bore no fruits. Thursday morning the body was however seen floating.
The body has been taken to Kangundo level 4 mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
