A 78-year-old man from Matungulu Subcounty in Machakos County has died after being stung by bees.
Confirming the incident, Matungulu location Chief Wellington Ndawa said that the man had gone to his farm only to be met with a tragedy of bees who descended upon him and stung him to death.
The chief confirmed that the man was the chairperson of Kambusu Cooperative Society which is in Matungulu.
“We have had an accident of one of our farmers in Katwanyaa, John Ngumbi who had visited one of his farms in Mutwani publication and he was attacked by bees till he died, the man was the chairperson of Kambusu Cooperative Society,” he said.
Police from Tala police station have taken the body of the deceased to Kangundo level 4 hospital morgue for preservation awaiting burial.
