Muindi Mbingu secondary chaplain among 2 dead in grisly Koma-Kenol road accident

Two people died Wednesday after being involved in a grisly accident at the Koma area near Koma shrine along Koma-Kenol road.

According to a police report, the accident involved a saloon car and a motorcycle. The saloon car was coming from Kenol heading to Koma and rammed on the motorcycle that had a passenger causing both the driver of the car and the motorbike to get head injuries.

The duo was rushed to Nguluni Health Centre where they succumbed to the injuries and were taken to Kangundo Level 4 mortuary as the car and the motorbike were towed to the KBC police station yard awaiting inspection.

“It happened that one motor vehicle Reg KCX 140T make Honda CRV which was being driven by one Festus Maingi Kimuli aged 49 years, from Kenol general direction heading to Koma general direction and on reaching the place of the accident rammed motorcycle Reg KMFM 508W which was being ridden by Onesimus Mutuku aged 25 years and a pillion passenger,” The police report read in part.

“They both sustained serious head injuries and were rushed to Nguluni Hospital where both succumbed to the injuries. Bodies were removed to Kangundo level 4 hospital morgue awaiting postmortem. The scene was visited and necessary action was taken. Both the motorbike and care were detained at KBC police station Yard awaiting inspection,”The report went on.

Benson Muia, a pastor who also chaplains Muindi Mbingu Secondary was among those involved in the accident.
