Kaiti: Mwengi Mutuse heckled for defending Ruto

Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse was on Saturday heckled in Kaiti during the thanksgiving function of Devolution PS Terry Mbaika.

“We also have to be factual, when I was campaigning last year, I used to buy people maize for a Kilo 75-80 shillings. Today I went to Mikuyuni and I was told a Kilo is 45 and the highest is 50 shillings.” Mutuse said as locals began shouting him down.

The legislator tried to calm the attendants down before saying a Kilo was now going for 60 Ksh.

“We know the cost of living is high but the president is working hard and we as elected leaders are all in agreement we must reduce the cost of living.” He went on as the jeering increased.

Mutuse also told off the opposition saying its very easy to criticize and oppose than those in government.

“Our friends in opposition it’s very easy to oppose but planning for things to go ahead is the big deal. We want to thank the president because we have an energetic president, Rais si wa kuzimia, Rais anafanya kazi. Hivi karibuni gharama ya maisha itakuwa chini na wakenya wote watafurahi na kusonga mbele.” Mutuse concluded his speech.

Last week during Musungu Kyumbe’s burial, CS Peninah Malonza was also shouted down for defending Ruto on the high cost of living and foreign trips. Missed the story? check it out below;
