The list of nominated Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in Makueni county has finally been gazetted by the IEBC.
Marginalized List
Urbanus Kyalo Wambua and Elizabeth Muthike Muli were nominated by the Wiper Party (which had the majority of elected MCAs) to fill the ethnic minority slots. Kevin Munene Njagi has been nominated by the Maendeleo Chap Chap party while Jonathan Muoki Mwaniki was also nominated for the ethnic minority slot by the Muungano party.
Gender Top Up
In the gender top-up, Wiper got 8 MCA slots; Elizabeth Mutindi Kiio, Joyce Mwende Wambua, Serah Nduku Mbilo, Jackline Muthini Kamula, Magdalena Nduku Mulwa, Janet Kanini Kioko, Sharon Mueni Mutinda, and Jeniffer Kamanthe Mwanthi.
Kibwana’s Muungano party got 4 slots that went to Janet Mwikali Kitunga, Esther Mbithe Ngila, Mercy Ndinda Mutuku, and Martina Ngusye Kimilu which is the minority party in Makueni county assembly.
Magdalene Kamene Nguluku, wife to Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile was nominated by Maendeleo Chap Chap party in the single slot they got. Mwengi Mutuse promised to nominate her to the Assembly. Missed the story? check out below;
United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) got one slot that went to Ndambuki Josephine. In total Wiper will have 24 MCAs, Muungano 13, 5 Independents, Maendeleo Chap Chap 4, and UDA 2.
