Welcome to Makueni but Don’t campaign for Wiper here – Kibwana tells Kalonzo

Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana has welcomed Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to the county during his tour beginning today 5th May.

Kibwana said that as Kalonzo will be campaigning for the Azimio coalition, he should not campaign for the Wiper party. According to Kibwana Kalonzo should campaign for all the parties in Azimio or none.

The Governor noted that Kalonzo has been campaigning for the Wiper party yet all the parties in the coalition are the same.

“We are asking Kalonzo and the Wiper party to stop saying that in Ukambani only the Wiper candidates should be elected. Wherever he goes may he please desist from that. If he continues preaching the same then the other Ukambani parties will know he doesn’t wish them any good,” said Kibwana.

“Speak about Azimio, the Deputy president position, and other things but don’t campaign for your party,” he added.

Kibwana further urged residents to vote for leaders who can help them without looking at the parties.

“It’s not the time for party politics the residents should look and see which leader has a great vision for them,”he advised.

Kalonzo will start his tour of Ukambani to Mombasa county today in a bid to campaign for Azimio. He will be accompanied by some of the Wiper leaders from the region.

A few days ago, Governor Kibwana observed that working with Kalonzo in Azimio coalition was proving to be hard.

During a burial in Tala, Matungulu sub-county Kibwana gave out mixed signals on joining Kenya Kwanza after praising the bottom-up approach and requesting to be an associate pastor to Deputy President William Ruto.
