Masinga central MCA Joshua Mwonga is furious about Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi’s recent remarks.
Mwangangi had said that the county government will start finding aspirants to support to counter leaders ‘fighting’ Governor Wavinya.
Speaking in Yatta on Friday Mwonga questioned about what parties Mwangangi and his boss will use to support the said aspirants.
The county lawmaker said that Mwangangi is a newcomer in Wiper and should learn about its mandates before purporting to speak on its behalf.
“You joined Wiper just the other day after Wavinya picked you as her deputy, come slowly because the party has owners who will show you how things are done,” said Mwonga.
“Let me ask what party those you will be supporting will be vying on because the last time I checked Wiper party holds free and fair nominations before handing over tickets,” he added.
Mwonga said that he is strong in the party and his support for Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is unmatched and will not accept to be dictated by ‘newbies’ in the party.
Mwonga is among MCAs who have been critics of Governor Wavinya Ndeti and have faced backlash for their stand.
Mwonga spoke during the burial of Phylis Ndile, Mother-in-law to former Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo in Kalyambeu, Ikombe.
