Kamba artist Stella Mengele alias Aunt Wa Mbai has taken head-on Kamba Festival critics, terming them as fools.
Speaking to the press while attending the Festival, Mengele said even if something is not okay, people should wait after the festival to talk, but not criticise it.
“Those who criticize the Kamba Festival are fools. This is because if something is not pleasing you and it’s being done by a Kamba you can wait for it to end, then we speak ‘behind the tent’,” Stella said.

“I was there in Kamba Festival season 1, I was not invited nor paid, but I brought myself because I’m a Kamba. I sat there and cheered my favorite secular artist, Ken Maria, my producer Bisengo, Maima, and Kativui. It’s not about me, it’s about the community.” She added.
“If you are attacking this, even if it only benefits your neighbor, it is good. Even if it only supports Rick Be, let’s support him. You can go and start yours, we will come and support you. Let’s unite, we cannot go down when we support each other. “Stella reiterated.
