Raila’s Promise to Kitui People if elected President

ODM leader and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has promised that if elected the 5th president he will ensure that all Kenyans get access to clean water.

Raila also stated that he will make sure that in the Ukambani region which is arid, residents even those at the grassroots have access to water near them.

Addressing the residents of Mwingi Central in Kitui county, Raila also said that he will make sure his promise of 6,000 monthly stipend is given to the vulnerable households without income.

“My government will bring water to this region so that we can transform the lives of these people. We have rivers here taking all the water to the Indian Ocean, water is required here and we will bring water closer to the people so that people can be able to live comfortably. Our women do not have to walk for long distances in search of water,” Raila said.

Raila also stated that his Government will ensure that they empower all the people especially the women and those living in extreme poverty in Kitui county and will continue with the cash transfer program introduced by the Jubilee government.

This according to Raila will ensure that the residents get money to sustain themselves and ensure they are not affected by hunger due to lack of jobs to sustain themselves. Raila also promised that he won’t leave behind the widows who sometimes are neglected in society.

“We will also help the orphaned children, the widow and the single parent mothers who are struggling to raise their families and the poor in this community,” he added.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga visited Kitui County for the first time since Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka joined Azimio Coalition. The ceremony was presided by ATG head Apostle Musili where Bishops of Revelation City Church In Mwingi Central were ordained.
