Ngilu Tells off Kalonzo for asking Raila to Endorse him

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has said that Azimio will not force anyone to join them. In words that seemed to refer to Kalonzo, Ngilu stated that Kenyan politics have changed from the old narrative of looking back to previous agreements.

This comes barely a week after the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka made public personal NASA deal between him and Raila Odinga where they had agreed with Raila will support him in 2022.

The county boss stated that they are more than 30 Governors supporting Raila Odinga and no one forced them to support Raila. Ngilu reiterated that President Uhuru said ‘Raila Tosha’ thus Kenyans should not wait to support another person.

“Every day we keep asking who will join Azimio next yet we have 47 counties and out of them, 31 have joined Azimio the latest being Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi while others (referring to Kalonzo) are still dwelling on the past Agreement made together with Raila Odinga that he will support them. Let them know that leadership is not promised but you go to ask the people to support you,” she said.

Ngilu urged the Kitui residents to support Raila because he is the only person who will help Kenyans.

She took the chance to trash DP Ruto’s presidential ambitions saying that Ruto is a man full of deceit and dismissed his handouts terming it as conmanship.

“You saw that wheelbarrow person who is ‘shenzi sana!’ came here telling the women and the youth that he has given them money which you didn’t see them because he gave you and stole from you before leaving. If she is denying you the money now what about when he becomes the president,” Ngilu Questioned.

The Governor further asked locals not to vote Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua and MCAs who she says gave her a hard time.

Ngilu was speaking at her office where she issued empowerment cheques to 48 women, youth, traders, and persons with disability groups drawn from Kitui Central Sub-County.
