ODM Kangundo MP Candidate tells off Kalonzo for asking him to step down, rejects his job offer

ODM Candidate for Kangundo Constituency has maintained that he will not step down in favor of anyone in the Kangundo parliamentary race.

Addressing the press at a rally in Mbilini, Kangundo North ward Anthanas Mutinda the ODM Candidate said that Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka had no right to tell him to step down in favor of the Wiper candidate.

He further noted that several times he had sought Wiper party to give the ticket to vie for Kangundo MP seat but they played trick games to him and gave the ticket to another person.

“I want to answer Kalonzo Musyoka after he said that I should step down for Katatha. I have been asking them for a long time to give me a Wiper party ticket since 2017 and they took it and gave it to Katatha,” said Anthanas.

“They promised to give me the Wiper ticket when I supported Kavindu but they never did so rather they gave it to Katatha. After those tricks, I got an ODM ticket and I want to tell them that the votes of Kangundo are not in Katatha’s hands, my message to them is that I will not sacrifice to anybody let us meet on the ballot,” The MP Candidate added.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka speaking at Mbilini Thursday asked Anthanas to step down for Katatha as according to him Katatha was more popular.

“Tell Anthanas that am his elder brother and he should step down for Katatha, the way Deputy governor Francis Maliti stepped down for Wavinya, Athanas has my phone and when he does that, Katatha will be the next MP for Kangundo and I will ensure that I give a job in the next government,” said Kalonzo.

Kyengo Maweu Katatha is vying for Kangundo parliamentary seat on the Wiper Ticket. He was MP for Kangundo in 2013-2017.
