Ngilu urges Ruto to involve other Azimio leaders in Raila AU deal job

Former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has urged President William Ruto to involve other Azimio leaders in the Raila AU job deal.

Speaking during the launch of the G7 Strategy by the Council of Governors at Safari Park in Nairobi, Ngilu said Raila has his people whom has been working with and they should not be left behind.

“What shocked me in the last few days, is the new handshake. I thank Ruto for supporting Baba for the AU chair but you cannot take him alone. He has many other people with him,” she said.

The former governor urged President Ruto to support women’s empowerment initiative by mobilising for resources to deliver on their visions for the people they represent at grassroots levels.

“The best you can do is help women in leadership to mobilize resources and get to the villages, to ensure women can be empowered enough,” she urged President Ruto.

Ngilu further encouraged women to join politics for leadership positions in different categories.

” Kenya needs woman president. Women do not run away from the seat as Kenyans are looking forward to having a female president soon.” Ngilu added.

She also praised the women leaders including the seven female governors, urging them to continue with the great job.

“To women in leadership and especially governors.. shine, shine, and shine for Kenya,” Ngilu added.
