Ngilu set to drop from Kitui Gubernatorial Race – Raila discloses

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has asked Kitui Governor to quit the county gubernatorial race so that they can work together in Nairobi.

Speaking at a political rally in Mutha area of Kitui County, Raila asked the residents of Kitui to let go of Ngilu so that they can work together in the National Government in ensuring that development is brought to the people of Kitui.

“You will know who you will elect as Governor here in Kitui if Malombe or Musila but as for this Lady, your Governor I want her to come to Nairobi there are many things there she can do, ” Raila at the rally said.

“She will get enough money to do projects in different sectors whether it is roads, water, health and others you are the one who are going to decide,” added Raila.

Ngilu has been seen as a close confidant of the Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga and has been seen going to different rallies across the country with Raila.

This comes a week after she was cleared by IEBC to vie for gubernatorial seat under her party NARC.

Last Month, Ngilu revealed that she will campaign with Former Kitui Senator David Musila to consolidate Azimio la Umoja votes In Kitui. Ngilu further confirmed that she might step down for Musila and support him to vie for Kitui Governor and focus on the top position that will be promised by Raila Odinga’s Azimio Government.
