Hours after Raila Odinga announced that Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu was exiting the Kitui Gubernatorial race for national politics, Raila unveiled the Azimio coalition candidate for Kitui Gubernatorial race.
Addressing a rally at Kalundu market in Kitui town, Raila said that he heard that the people want Dr. Julius Malombe to be their Governor and he will be giving Ngilu a role in the national government.
“I have come with Kalonzo Musyoka here in Kitui and we agreed that I’ll take Mama Ngilu to Nairobi and then here in Kitui we leave to Malombe,” Raila stated.
This is seen as a major setback to the Jubilee Party candidate for Kitui Gubernatorial seat and Former Senator David Musila who Ngilu had earlier hinted that she would step down for him to be Azimio gubernatorial candidate in Kitui. Missed the story? check it out below;
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka also warned former Mutitu MP Kiema Kilonzo to move on and stop subjecting Malombe to court cases because Malombe is the people’s choice in Kitui. Kalonzo told Kiema together with Eric Mutua his lawyer to stop engaging in a malicious petition against Malombe.
“Those people should leave Dr. Malombe alone because people want him to come and serve them as their governor,” Kalonzo said as he addressed the crowd at Kalundu market in Kitui town.
