Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi lost his cool Friday during the burial of Rose Muema sister to former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka in Mavoko.
Goons opposed to Wavinya administration had momentarily disrupted the burial by shouting ‘Mwizi’, this angered the Deputy Governor who decided to call them out while giving his speech.
He blamed Mavoko MP Patrick Makau accusing him of sponsoring them saying he was thankless after Governor Wavinya held his hand previously to get a councillor and Mayor jobs.
“What is wrong with this fellow, Kichwa yake ni mzuri? Anavuruga mama Gavana ambaye amesaidia yeye akiwa Hana kazi akapata kazi, akakuwa councillor na mayor. Tunakuja mazishi ya relative yake cousin yake anatuma vijana wanunuliwe pombe, wakuje kuharibu mambo. what is wrong with this fellow?” A furious Mwangangi said.
The Deputy Governor also accused Makau of failing in development and asked him to let Wavinya work.
“We joined parliament same time with him (Makau), you (Munyaka) has done 11 roads and other things. If elections were to happen next week, the people of Machakos would vote for you. Let Mama work, I’m telling this to the one person who is bringing confusion. Wait till 2032 and come to face me in Governor contest. I think we need to stop this, hiring people to call your cousin a thief. Who bewitched you? He added.
