Lands Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Dr. Victor Munyaka has kicked off storm over ownership of Konza City land.
Speaking during the burial of Mumbuni North MCA Gideon Saul Kavuu over the weekend, Munyaka came with documents that he presented to the County Government of Machakos.
“God has opened a door for me and now I am the assistant minister for Affordable housing where the housing fund will be domiciled. I want to thank the President for appointing me and Dr. Alfred Mutua as CS.” Munyaka said.
“President Ruto was recently in Konza. And when there, we were ashamed as Machakos county people. We had Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi at the function and Area MP Caleb. We all know Konza is in Machakos and I fought for it. Even Caleb the area MP could not be recognized and we had another MP who is a foreigner as the MC.” The Lands CAS added.
Munyaka who served as Machakos MP for the 3 terms gave copies of documentation to Machakos county leadership and challenged them to start collecting taxes in Konza.
“Today I have come here with evidence to give the Governor, Leader of Majority, Assistant County Commissioner, and Kalama MCA so that you can take control of Konza. We want you in the County Assembly to make rules and debate and start collecting taxes from there so that our people can get jobs.” Munyaka went on.
Munyaka’s remarks are set to kick off a storm as Makueni County also claims ownership of Konza City.
