Kelvin Mutwiwa is a name that can ring a bell in many people that have interacted with Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti.
Mutwiwa has been Wavinya’s aide for 8 years and still counting. The lad started working with Wavinya while still in school at the University of Nairobi.
Mauvoo News got an opportunity to speak with Mutwiwa who narrated that he got employed in 2015 by Wavinya when she was the Member of Parliament Kathiani to manage her social media accounts.
Little did he know that from managing social media he would now be the Head of Communications and Public Relations at the office of the governor.
He went on to narrate that despite loving the job it also comes with its challenges as most of the time he has to protect the image of the Governor because many people perceive her as not eloquent.
The Head of PR in Machakos County revealed how he was forced to apologize to Wavinya for the image that was put on her Facebook page wearing baggy clothes during public participation which caused a stir online.
“When a picture of Madam in a baggy suit trended online I had to apologize to her personally for letting such a thing happen. She is a good dresser and very smart so that picture was a mistake,” said Mutwiwa.
Mutwiwa said that working with Wavinya makes him learn new things every day because what she loves most is competence and if you are not competent enough you can not be able to work with her.
