Matungulu MP Stephen Mutinda Mule has called on the church to ensure they engage the youths in moral teaching saying that homosexuality and lesbianism had become rampant in Tala Town.

“They are people who have started recruiting our boys and girls into lesbianism and homosexuality in this town and all I ask of the church is to pray for our youths because this is getting serious,” The MP said.

“There is an office in Tala that has been opened to execute the program of recruitment, the government is rooting them out and if they fail to root them I promise that I will ensure this moral decay does not continue in our town,” he added.

Speaking at a church service at Salvation Army Headquarters in Tala, Matungulu, Mule also called on the three Ukambani governors to stop concentrating on Azimio campaigns and start executing their duties noting they had abandoned their work.

“You are going in the entire country telling people on who to vote in while your people have no medicine, no water and no development, shame on you!” Mule told the Governors.

Last Month, Kitui Senator Kiio Wambua called on Governor Charity Ngilu to resign for failing to contain Kitui county’s health situation which was at a portentous state. Kiio lamented that instead of Ngilu focusing on the welfare of the people of Kitui, she was busy campaigning for ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
