Matungulu: Locals express dissatisfaction over ongoing public participation

A section of locals from Matungulu have expressed their dissatisfaction concerning the way ongoing public participation was conducted.

The locals told Mavoo News that they expected to be given a chance to air their views in the meetings but were not allowed.

Also, the Members of County Assemblies representing the areas were not given a chance to speak irking the residents.

“We are shocked that MCAs from other areas were allowed to talk yet those representing us did not get a chance to even address us,” said a local.

Those in Kyeleni wondered why the Governor and other leaders who had accompanied her attacked Kyeleni MCA Grace Bahati as her people watched.

“We don’t know what transpired between our MCA and the county government but one shouldn’t wash their dirty linen in the public, we are not pleased at all. Let them sort their issues and work together “said another local.

Governor Wavinya while speaking at Kyeleni said that a section of MCAs among them Bahati were fighting her.

Wavinya however noted that there was no bad blood between her and them and she was ready to work together for the benefit of the people.
