Public Participation Dates and Venues for the Machakos 2023-2027 CIDP

The County Government of Machakos has scheduled public participation for the 2023-2027 County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) from 1st November to 8th November 2022.

Village-level consultations were held on 31st October 2022 at the respective Village Administrators’ Offices.

In Masinga constituency, Ndithini ward will hold its consultative forum on 1st November at Ndithini Market from 8:30 am to 1 pm while in Muthesya ward at Kathukini market on 1st November from 8:30 am to 1 pm. In Ndalani ward in the Yatta sub-county, public participation will be at Kisiiki Market on 1st November 2022 from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Masinga sub-county in Ekalakala ward the forum will be at Itunduimuni market on 1st November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, Masinga Central ward public participation will be held at Kitangani Market on 1st November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm and in Kivaa ward it will be held at Kivaa market on 1st November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

In Yatta sub-county, Kithimani ward the forum will be at Kithimani Chiefs camp on 2nd November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Matuu ward will be held at Matuu market on 2nd November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Ikombe ward will be at Makutano market on 2nd November from 8:30 am to 1 pm and Katangi ward will be held at Katangi Chiefs camp on 2nd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

Mwala constituency, in Wamunyu ward the forum will be held at Wamunyu Livestock Market on 2nd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, Kibauni ward will be held at Ikalaasa Market on 2nd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, in Masii ward the forum will be held at Mwala sub-county headquarters in Masii on 3rd November at 8:30 am to 1 pm. Muthetheni ward will meet at Muthetheni market on 3rd November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Makutano/Mwala ward will be on 3rd November at Kyamutwii market from 8:30 am to 1 pm and Mbiuni will be at Mbiuni Market on 3rd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

In Matungulu sub-county, the forums will be in Matungulu East Ward at Katwanyaa Market on 3rd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, In Tala ward at Tala market on 3rd November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, in Matungulu West at Nguluni Market on 4th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, in Kyeleni ward at Kyeleni Market on 4th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, and Matungulu North ward at Kwa Mwaura Chiefs Camp on 4th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm.

Kangundo sub-county the forums will be held in Kangundo North ward at Kikambuani Market on 4th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, Kangundo East ward at Kivaani Market on 4th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, Kangundo Central ward at Kangundo Bus Park on 4th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, and Kangundo West will be at Kakuyuni Market on 5th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Kathiani Sub County the forums will be held in Kathiani Central ward at Kathiani Chief’s camp on 5th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Mitaboni ward will be at Mitaboni Chief’s camp on 5th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Upper Kaewa ward will be meeting at Kaviani Market on 5th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm while Lower Kaewa will be at Ithaeni Market on 5th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

Machakos sub-county in Muvuti/ Kiima Kimwe ward the forum will be held at Mwanyani Market on 5th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm. Kalama sub-county in Kola ward the forum will be at Kola Market on 7th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm and Kalama ward at Kyangala Market on 7th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Machakos sub-county in Machakos Central ward will meet at Machakos Social Hall on 7th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, In Mumbuni North ward will meet at Mung’ala Market on 7th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, in Mutituni ward the forum will be held at Mutituni Market on 7th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, and Mua ward will meet at Kaseve Chief’s camp on 7th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

In Mavoko sub-county the forums will be in the Muthwani ward at Ndovoini market on 8th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Kinanie ward at Kyumbi market on 8th November from 8:30 am to 1 pm, Athi River ward at Athiriver (KMC) Chief’s camp on 8th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm, and Syokimau/Mlolongo ward on 8th November from 12 pm to 5:30 pm.

The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) is usually one of the first tasks of a newly elected government and It is the core five-year development plan that integrates the long-term spatial, sector, and urban plans with inputs from the Governor’s manifesto, national government plans, and programs, past county development performance and the views and expectations of other development actors and the public at large.

The CIDP sets the priorities and guides all county government spending until the next elections.
