In the heart of Masinga Sub-county’s Kithyoko Market, traders and locals are grappling with a surreal and mystifying event that has left the community buzzing with questions.
Joseph Mutua, a seasoned trader, entered the market with a straightforward goal: to buy a cow.
He found what he was looking for and struck a deal with a seller to pay Ksh. 32,900 for the cow.
The seller, eager to leave, pocketed the cash and swiftly disappeared within minutes.
The real shock came moments later. The cow, which appeared perfectly fine during the transaction, suddenly collapsed to the ground and refused to stand up.
Mutua, bewildered, enlisted the help of other market attendees, but their combined efforts to get the cow on its feet proved futile.
“We did everything we could think of, We beat it, pushed it, and even tried to scare it, but nothing worked.”Mutua recounted to the press.
He narrated that for three hours, the cow did not move. The seller, who seemed oddly anxious, vanished after promising to be back after a few minutes. He appeared to be around 35 years old.
The strange turn of events has left tongues wagging, with some of the locals thinking that there could be ‘witchcraft’ involved.
