Mwangangi: Wavinya is walking on tight rope be patient

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has urged locals to be patient with the Wavinya administration.

Speaking during an interview at a local Radio station, Mwangangi said that the County Government has no money thus making it hard to take on projects.

The DG observed that they have not received money from the National Government thus affecting service delivery.

“Yes I am aware that many of the hospitals don’t have drugs, you can not do that without money. I would like to appeal to the locals to be patient with the Governor because she is doing her best,” said Mwangangi.

He disclosed that the pledge by Wavinya to upgrade Machakos Level 5 hospital to a Referral hospital is still on course.

“When Wavinya promised to make Machakos Level 5 a Teaching and Referral hospital and modernize the mortuary, she meant it and will realize it during her first term. I will go back to the hospital and see how things are going compared to how we left them a few weeks ago, “Mwangangi went on.

Mwangangi further noted that the National Government is setting up County Governments for failure by failing to release funds because most functions are devolved and need money.

According to him, the delay of funds will cause the locals to think their County leaders are not working yet all the blame should go to the National Government.
