KidsOR is a global health charity group that provides High quality operating rooms designed specifically for children’s surgery to transform and save the lives of millions of children.

Speaking to the media Makueni county Health Chief officer Patrick Kibwana said the equipment will help improve the treatment of minors at the hospital.

“We got anaesthesia machines, patient monitors, operating tables, suction machines, theatre lights and other equipment worth over 17 million, ” The chief officer said.

“This equipment the donors could have been donated to another hospital but because they have seen the good work the health department has been doing, they decided to bring it here. This will help us even with medical tourism.” He added.

The equipment is designed to help children relax from the anxiety and fear of surgery as well as provide ample space for paediatric surgery and recovery.
