A 21-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself after reportedly stabbing his 25-year-old brother in Nzaui, Makueni County. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, with the police launching an immediate investigation into the circumstances leading to the tragic deaths as the motive remains unclear.
The discovery unfolded when neighbors ventured to investigate after noticing an unusual silence from the family home in Ndovea village where the brothers resided together only to be met with a scene of unimaginable sorrow.
Deputy County Commissioner for Nzaui, Timothy Tirop, confirmed the gravity of the situation, stating, “We received the report from concerned neighbors who were alarmed by the unusual silence emanating from the household. Their investigation led to the heartbreaking discovery of this tragic incident.”
The bodies were taken to Makueni Referral Hospital pending a postmortem examination to ascertain the precise cause of death.
