Police in Makueni arrested 2 suspects who are linked with the death of a 7-year-old boy who was found dead in a well at Matiliku, Makueni County.
According to the Deputy County Commissioner Nzaui Sub county Lilian Langat, the boy went missing a week ago after he was sent by her mother at around 8 pm.
However, the boy did not return home, only to be found dead in a well near his matrimonial home.
Langat says the deceased was last seen in company with the suspects, revealing that one of them is the boy’s cousin.
“There were suspects who were last seen with the boy and those ones have been arrested. The two boys put in custody are currently at Makindu police station “, she confirmed.
The suspects aged 21 and 13 years old are set to be arraigned in court. The body was taken to the mortuary and further investigation into the matter launched.
