A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sodomizing his 12-year-old son. The man identified as Benjamin Kivindu spent the night at Ulilinzi police station in Kibwezi sub-county, Makueni county.
According to the police report, the man committed the heinous act last week while his wife was away.
However, when the mother got back on Tuesday the boy spilled the beans to her leading to the arrest of the man at Miangeni market.
The boy narrated that on Sunday night the father took him to sleep in the same bed and at night he sodomized him. Later he warned him not to breathe a word to anybody ordering him to shower also.
When the mother came the boy could not hold it and told her everything where he was taken to the hospital and examined. The Doctors confirmed that indeed the boy had been sodomized.
The suspect fled when he learned that his actions had been known.
Cases of defilement are on the rise in Makueni county. Last week an 11-year-old girl was defiled by her father in Mikuyuni area.
