Machakos Man Appeals for Sh4 Million to Undergo Life-Saving Kidney Transplant in India

For 29-year-old Eric Munyao from Koma, Matungulu, Machakos County, life was just beginning when everything came to a standstill.

Eric had just completed his studies at Maseno University in 2020 and was full of dreams, ready to start building a future, supporting his family, and chasing the life he had worked so hard for. But before he could take his first steps into that future, he fell ill.

What started as a case of high blood pressure soon escalated into chronic kidney failure.

Since then, his life has become a painful routine of dialysis sessions twice a week and countless medications, expenses that have pushed his family to the brink.

“I wake up every day not knowing what tomorrow holds,” Eric said, his voice heavy with emotion. “The constant pain, the fatigue, the uncertainty, it’s breaking me.”

Despite the suffering, Eric’s spirit remains hopeful. His greatest wish is to undergo a kidney transplant in India, a procedure that requires Sh4 million, an amount far beyond his family’s reach.

“My prayer is simple,” he said softly. “I want to be healthy again. I want to work. I want to provide for my family, not to depend on them for everything. It’s heartbreaking having to rely on others for even the smallest things like raising up.”

Eric, who now lives with his family in Kitengela is now appealing to well-wishers to help him raise the funds for the life-saving transplant, holding on to hope that strangers with kind hearts will give him a second chance at life.

Those willing to help can reach out through paybill 8056471, Account Name: Erick.
