Drama ensued in Machakos High Court as Machakos County Inspectorate officers stormed the law courts and arrested Kalama MCA Boniface Maeke.
The inspectorate officers stormed the court premises accompanied by other people. They dragged Kalama MCA Boniface Maeke while he was in the company of other MCAs who had come for the hearing of Masii Ward MCA Douglas Musyoka’s case.
Masii ward MCA Douglas Musyoka was arrested Tuesday at his home in Kanaani, Machakos county by the county inspectorate officers.
He was taken into custody and was released on a cash bail of 50,000 and was to appear in court today when this happened.
Speaking after the arrest Masii ward MCA Douglas Musyoka said that he did not know what had prompted the arrest though he had a clue it was because of not supporting the current regime.
A series of arrests of MCAs who criticize Governor Wavinya been ongoing in the county with Mua Ward MCA Francis Ngunga also being a victim.
Kalama Ward MCA was taken to the police station to record a statement and later at the hospital to receive treatment.

Following the incident, 10 Machakos County inspectorate officers have been arrested and are set to be arraigned tomorrow. According to sources, police are still looking for more officers over the incident that has resulted in a wide uproar.
