On the 9th of August, Kenyans went to the ballot to elect leaders for different electoral positions. Below is a list of elected MCAs in Machakos county during the 2022 general elections.
In Masinga Constituency, Nzioka Alphonse Mutinda of Maendeleo Chap Chap won the Kivaa Ward MCA seat with 4854 votes, Mwonga Joshua Kimilu of Wiper Party made a comeback after 5 years in the political cold after clinching Masinga Central MCA seat with 6294 votes. Mwanthi Stephen Nzue of Wiper Party garnered 3406 seats to retain the Ekalakala seat. In Muthesya Ward, Muindi Daniel Musyoka of Wiper Party won with 2107 votes and Musila Paul Muoki of Wiper Party garnered 2920 votes to win Ndithini MCA seat.
In Yatta Constituency which has five wards, Kitaka Francis Kyalo of Wiper Party won the Ndalani MCA seat with 5640 votes, Ndawa Judas Mbili of Maendeleo Chap Chap garnered 6116 votes to retain the Matuu MCA. Muli Paul Mwanzia of Maendeleo Chap Chap won Kithimani Ward seat with 4622 votes. Muia Fredrick Kitetu of the Wiper Party garnered 4403 votes to win Ikombe ward MCA seat while Ngui Felix Mutunga of Wiper Party made a comeback after winning the Katangi MCA seat with 3151 votes.
In Kangundo constituency, Wilson Mathew Ndunda an Independent candidate got 1829 votes to win the Kangundo North ward MCA seat, Maundu Dickson Kavaa Musyoki of Maendeleo Chap Chap garnered 4897 votes to win Kangundo Central seat, Nzeki Evelyn Ndunge of Maendeleo Chap Chap got 3018 votes to clinch Kangundo East MCA seat, and Muli Charles Mbuva of Grand Dream Development Party got 3502 votes to win Kangundo West MCA seat.
In Matungulu constituency, Wambua Jackson Ndaka of the Wiper Party got 2203 votes to win the Tala Ward MCA seat, Muasya Herskovitis Mathias an Independent candidate got 1186 votes to win the Matungulu North Ward MCA seat while Munyoki Julius Mutuku of UDA Party got 3271 votes to win Matungulu East seat. Nzau Raphael Lucky of Wiper Party got 6508 votes in Matungulu West ward MCA seat and Bahati Grace an Independent candidate won Kyeleni ward McA seat with 2687 votes.

In Kathiani Constituency with four wards, Ndolo Philip Mutua of UDA got 4790 votes to win Mitaboni ward MCA seat, Ndambuki Dominic Mulwa of Wiper Party won Kathiani Central seat with 4367 seats, Nzioka Vincent Mutie of Wiper Party won Upper Kaewa/ Iveti ward seat with 3382 votes while Kyule Benjamin Kinyungu of Wiper Party won Lower Kaewa/ Kaani ward with 2581 votes.
In Mavoko Constituency, Saitieu Jeremiah Kaloi of Wiper Party won in Athiriver ward with 5771 votes, Kavyu Francis Wambua of Wiper got 4332 votes to win Kinanie Ward MCA seat, Maitha Dominic Ndonye of Wiper Party was reelected in Muthwani Ward with 3946 votes, and Ndwiki Mutinda Daniel of Wiper Party won in Syokimau/Mlolongo ward with 10025 votes.
In Machakos Town constituency, Musyimi Boniface Maeke of CCU won Kalama ward MCA seat with 3946 votes, Mwaniki Francis Ngunga of Maendeleo Chap Chap was reelected in Mua Ward with 2681 votes while Munyao Johana of Maendeleo Chap Chap reclaimed Mutituni Ward seat with 3083 votes. Nzioka Nicholas Kitavi of Wiper Party clinched Machakos Central ward MCA seat with 6278 votes, Kavuu Gideon Saul got 3052 votes to win Mumbuni North seat on Maendeleo Chap Chap ticket, Mulinge Joseph Musyoki won Muvuti/Kiima Kimwe seat on Maendeleo Chap Chap ticket with 4841 votes, Musembi Erick Wambua alias Winzi of Party of Independent Candidate of Kenya (PICK) was reelected at Kola ward with 2184 votes.
In Mwala Constituency, Kaviti Peter Kilonzo of UDA won in Mbiuni ward with 6061 votes, Kisila John Brian Kioko of Maendeleo Chap Chap Party was reelected in Makutano/Mwala ward with 4692 votes while Musyoka Douglas Muema of Maendeleo Chap Chap won Masii ward MCA seat with 3265 votes. Katiti Boniface Kyalo of UDA party got 2700 votes to clinch the Muthetheni MCA seat, Mutuku Justus Mulwa of Peoples Trust Party (PTP) got 3167 votes to win the Wamunyu ward MCA seat and Wambua Paul Mutua of PTP got 2362 votes to win Kibauni ward MCA seat.
Wiper Party got a majority of MCA seats with 16 elected MCAs, Maendeleo Chap Chap with 12, UDA Party with 4 MCAs, 3 Independent candidates, PTP 2, GDDP 1, PICK 1, and Chama cha Uzalendo 1 seat.
