Kivutha Kibwana shortlisted for EACC top job

6 months after his 2 terms as Makueni Governor came to an end, Prof. Kivutha Kibwana has been shortlisted for a top job at EACC.

“Pursuant to Sections 10 (1) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
(Amendment) Act, 2011 (Amended 2015), the Public Service Commission invited
applications from suitably qualified Kenyans for the position of Chairperson of the
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission in the print media and Commission’s website
on 20th January 2023. The advert closed on 2nd February 2023 and attracted eighty-nine (89) applications.” The notice by EACC read in part.

14 candidates were successfully shortlisted and are set to proceed to the next phase of recruitment.

The candidates include; Prof. Kivutha Kibwana, Former IEBC Commissioner Thomas Letangule, Eliud Ngige, Kaberia Isaac Kubai, Amani Yuda, Abdulahi Yarow, and Adam Mure Mweri. They will face the Public Service Commission for interviews on 27th February 2023.

The second batch will go for interviews on 28th February and comprises Former CITAM Bishop David Oginde, Susan Nekesa, Josiah Onyancha, Norah Chepkemboi Mutai, Kenneth Sakwa, Justa Wawira, and city lawyer Charles Kanjama.

Members of the public have been invited to avail any credible information of interest relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (through sworn affidavits) to the Secretary/CEO, Public Service Commission, 4th floor Commission House, Harambe Avenue, Nairobi or online through hodrands@publicservice.go.ke so as to be received on or before
24th February 2023.
