The Public Service Commission has released a list of candidates shortlisted for the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) position. Here are the shortlisted candidates from Kitui, Makueni, and Machakos counties.
Annastacia Muendo who unsuccessfully contested for the Yatta MP Position in the August elections on a UDA Party has been shortlisted. Annastacia lost to Robert Basil of Wiper who garnered 26,731 votes.
Victor Kioko Munyaka former Machakos Town MP has also been shortlisted. Munyaka lost to Caleb Mule of Maendeleo Chap chap after garnering 20,000 votes while Caleb got over 47,596 votes.

Other candidates from Machakos include; Dr. Esther Nduku Muia, Joseph Wambua Kioko
Ex-KBC Radio Presenter Bonnie Musambi has also been shortlisted. Musambi vied for Kitui Central MP Seat in August and came second with 9,866 votes losing to Makali Mulu of wiper who carried the day with 30,954 votes.
Other candidates from Kitui include; Jane Musangi Mutua, Stephen Mutua Kilonzo and Paul Musyimi.
Former Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau who unsuccessfully vied for the Women Rep position in the August 2022 polls has been shortlisted as well. Mwau came fifth in the race with 17,626 votes.
The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Public Service Commission, off Harambee Avenue Nairobi starting on 1st March 2023.
Members of the public have been invited to avail any credible information of interest relating to any of the shortlisted candidates (through sworn affidavits) to the Secretary/CEO, Public Service Commission, 4th floor Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, or online through hodrands@publicservice.go.ke so as to be received on or before 28th February 2023.
