Kavindu denies dancing to Wavinya’s tune

Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu has denied claims that she has forgotten the watchful eyes she once had in line with her senatorial duties.

Speaking in Katangi, Yatta sub-county Kavindu noted that she is doing her oversight well as required and has not been compromised by Governor Wavinya.

According to her whenever she spots a few shortcomings in the county government she is quick to alert the governor to ensure service delivery is top-notch.

“Why should I make noise when there is nothing wrong, as far as I know, Wavinya has been discharging her duties diligently as expected,” she said.

Last week Allan Musembi, Machakos bodaboda chair said that Kavindu’s silence was earsplitting.

He noted that she had forgotten her job hinting that she was in bed with the county government.

“During Mutua’s time, your noise was raucous but since Wavinya took over you’ve been so silent. We want to hear you but if your silence means you have something in your mouth then we will make you vomit it,” said Musembi.
