Machakos senator Agnes Kavindu has been criticized for failing in her oversight role on the County Government.
Machakos bodaboda Chair Allan Musembi noted that Kavindu has never criticized the new leadership of the Machakos county government as she did with former Governor Alfred Mutua.
Musembi noted that Kavindu never kept quiet during Mutua’s reign only to go dumb that during Wavinya’s reign thus raising eyebrows.
“During Mutua’s reign you were all over speaking of the ills in the government but since Wavinya took over you’ve held your peace, we are waiting for you to speak up and if you’ve compromised then you will answer to the residents of Machakos,” said Musembi.
“We remember you telling us that you were a tried and tested leader while seeking the seat telling us that you will serve us accordingly because you know the pain of a child but it seems you’ve become a man, silent while your people are suffering,” he added.
His sentiments were supported by Kalama Member of County Assembly Boniface Maeke who added that some people are lying to Governor Wavinya when things are falling apart.
According to Maeke, the Governor should retrace her steps and know how to right her wrongs.
