Police in Kangundo have started a search for a lady who aborted two babies.
The two newborns were aged 4 years and the mother aborted them and dropped them in a toilet.
Confirming the incident, Kangundo Deputy Police Commander Michael Isinga revealed that the incident occurred at Mukunike village in Kawethei, Kangundo.
He said that police from Kawethei Police Post got a report from a resident that two fetuses were found in a toilet at their home.
Police rushed to the scene and with the help of the public they retrieved the two fetuses and took them to Kangundo level four Mortuary for preservation as they were dead.
“At Kawethei in Mukunike village, our officers from Kawethei police post were on patrol in the area when they received a report from one Muthini Kimeu a resident of the village that they had found a fetus at their mother’s toilet,” said the police commander.
“After receiving the report he led the officer to the home and on arriving at the residence he found two fetuses aged 4 months had been dumped. With the assistance of the public the two fetuses were retrieved and taken to Kangundo level 4 mortuary,” he added.
