Shock as 14-Year Old Gang-Raped In Kwa-Akamba, Kangundo

Police in Kangundo Subcounty have launched a manhunt in Kangundo for people who defiled a 14- year old girl from Kwa Akamba market.

Confirming the incident, Kangundo Subcounty Police Commander Edward Changach said that the girl who is a class seven pupil went out at night to relieve herself but she never came back thus prompting her grandparents to go searching for her in the morning.

Neighbors heard screams from the girl which prompted them to follow the screams and found the girl tied up both hands and legs in a house and raped.

The neighbors alerted the police who came to her rescue and rushed to Kangundo Level 4 Hospital for treatment as the police commence investigations.

“Today at around 2.30 pm we got a report that a 14-year-old girl was found tied up in a house after she was gang-raped. We enquired and found out that the girl had gone out at night to relieve herself but she did not come back so her grandparents woke up in the morning to look for her and found her in that state,” The police commander said.

“Police have started a manhunt for the culprits and are appealing to the public to assist them in their search to ensure that those who did such a horrible act are put to justice,” he added.
