Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has asked her predecessor, Dr. Alfred Mutua, now CS Labour and Social Protection, to keep off her Government.
Speaking at a Church Service in African Church Mitaboni, Wavinya asked Mutua to let her run Machakos without interfering.
“You were the Governor of Machakos, you are not the Governor now, leave Machakos alone, let me run Machakos,” Wavinya told Mutua.

“When you were running Machakos, I never interfered with you, do not interfere with me, you know me, and do not start a war you cannot win. ” The Governor added.
Wavinya also took a swipe at insiders in her government, whom she accused of giving Governor Mutua information, promising to kick them out.
In a Facebook post, the Governor added, “I am dedicated to serving the people of Machakos and I will not allow anyone to sow discord through external political influence. I will not tolerate any schemes to derail my administration from the work we have committed ourselves to. I’m sending a strong warning to our detractors… Your plans will not prevail.”
