Kalonzo vows to stand with Governor Wavinya after EACC raided Machakos County Headquarters

Days after detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) raided Machakos County Government Headquarters, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to stand with Governor Wavinya.

Speaking over the Weekend in Sultan Hamud, Kalonzo claimed that EACC was targeting Wiper Governors because of their support for the party.

“Governors Wavinya, Mutula, and Malombe are at the frontline to be harassed by the Ruto administration. They began in Machakos last week with the Finance CEC, EACC people coming from Nairobi to find a way to silence Governor Wavinya because she is a Wiper Governor.” Kalonzo said.

“Mutula is the next in line. We are telling you, we are aware, before you harass Wavinya or Malombe, please answer what Muturi has said – that you are irredeemably corrupt. People need to wear sackcloths in this country to repent, to the extent our leader is named number 2 most corrupt in the world, reigning champion of corruption is the President of Kenya. That President is now sending people to harass Mutula and Wavinya, Please be honest, this is the time to even resign,” Kalonzo went on.

The Wiper leader also assured the Governors who had accompanied him that even if they are arrested he will be there for them.

“Junior stay strong, Wavinya stay strong, if they arrest you, i will secure your release. We don’t want people to threaten Wiper Governors. These 3 Governors will cause us to have over 30 Governors in the next elections. Do not buy fear.” The Wiper leader added.
