Former Kangundo MP Katatha lands County Job

Former Kangundo MP Kyengo Katatha Maweu has landed a job at the County Government of Machakos.

Maweu was appointed as an advisor to the County Government together with former Kivaa MCA Justus Kiteng’u.

This was announced by Governor Wavinya Ndeti in a press statement.

Katatha had joined Machakos County Executive Council Members for an induction at the Kenya School of Government.

“Machakos County Executive Committee Members (CECs) and my Advisors have today started their 5-day Induction at the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Nairobi. The Purpose of the Induction is to build the capacity of the Executive arm of Government and enhance efficiency in service delivery,” Wavinya said.

“My Deputy, Hon. Francis Mwangangi officially opened the Induction Workshop on my behalf. The training is also meant to equip the CECMs and Advisors with knowledge about government operations, functions, and practices, as well as other information critical in the execution of their mandates,” Wavinya went on.

Leaders from Kangundo have come out to congratulate Katatha on the new appointment with the latest being former Kangundo Central MCA Moses Mitaa.

Mitaa noted that indeed Kangundo had a reason to celebrate and thanked the Governor for the consideration.

“On the issue of Hon Katatha Maweu, I take this opportunity to thank HE Governor Wavinya Ndeti for granting Mhesh the opportunity to serve in Her Government. I wish Mhesh Success. Let’s appreciate such opportunities for our people,” Mitaa said.

Katatha served as the MP between 2013 and 2017 before losing to Fabian Kyule Muli in 2017 and 2022.
