Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kinengo Katisya has confessed that he received threats after visiting Statehouse to meet President Ruto on Tuesday.
Speaking at Zombe, Kitui East during a “Empowerment fundraiser” attended by DP Kithure Kindiki, the Speaker vowed to remain behind President William Ruto.
“Mr. Farouk, when we came to Statehouse with 44 MCAs, we started receiving threats, including impeachment. I said, be it as it may, we must support the government of the day so that it can work for our people.”Kinengo said.

“MCAs of the County Assembly of Kitui and I, as their Speaker, have decided that we will support President William Ruto and his team to bring development to Ukambani. At home, we also support our County government, and the Deputy Governor is here. This development Journey we are walking with you.”He added.
Other leaders who attended the event include Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua, Host MP Nimrod Mbai, Vincent Musyoka of Mwala, Mwengi Mutuse Kibwezi West, Caleb Mule Machakos Town, Rachael Nyamai Kitui South, Joshua Mwalyo Masinga among others.
